Working with British Cycling to promote cycle infrastructure in UK cities

British Cycling wanted to promote cycle infrastructure as part of wider urban improvements in the context of Britain hosting the Tour de France in 2014. Steer worked closely with British Cycling and Olympic champion Chris Boardman to prepare a series of visualisations of cycle infrastructure within towns and cities outside London, including Leeds and West Kirby.

In the week that the world’s eyes were on The Headrow in Leeds – the start line for the Tour de France – Chris Boardman launched Steer’s innovative vision for how the now-iconic street could be re-modelled to accommodate people on bikes.
