The Steer design team was approached by Luton Borough Council to develop a visual identity and wayfinding signage system for The Vale Cemetery and Crematorium on the outskirts of Luton town centre. This was the first time we had ever worked on such a project but were happy to accept the challenge!
The primary issue was to improve the existing information provision across the site as well as to communicate a clear, professional and approachable image through the creation of a new visual identity. The purpose of the initiative was to invest in an upgrade of the site to improve the user experience whilst promoting The Vale as an alternative to other similar sites in the area, including private facilities.
